The annual meeting of the European project ERAMET took place on April 15–16, 2026, in Catania. The event marked a key milestone to review the progress achieved during the first year of activities and to define the next steps of the project, bringing together academic, institutional, and industrial partners from across Europe.

The first day featured presentations on the main results achieved so far, including the development of the artificial intelligence platform, , and applications of the “question-centric” approach in drug development in the use cases.

In this context, Fondazione Gianni Benzi actively contributed to the meeting through the participation of Viviana Giannuzzi, who participated in the discussions and spoke about connections with European initiatives in the field of paediatric and rare diseases. Her talk highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration among existing collaborative initiatives, promoting shared standards, and fostering integration between scientific research and regulatory processes.

The meeting highlighted significant progress within the ERAMET project, while also emphasizing the need to consolidate activities, improve communication across work packages, and strengthen alignment with European regulatory authorities in preparation for the next development phases and the expected impact.
