The Ninth Course aimed to provide special acknowledgment to Prof. Gianni Benzi for his significant contribution to the establishment and implementation of the European Medicines System, with particular focus on the fields in which he was especially involved.
The main topics of the Course included:
- The scientific, economic, and social role of the EM(e)A,
- Orphan and innovative therapies,
- Paediatric medicines,
- Evidence, risks, and benefits from drug use,
- The role and contribution of patients.
This 3-day meeting hosted key opinion leaders and experts from various European and non-European countries. As in previous editions, it offered a valuable opportunity for academia, industry, regulatory experts, and investigators to debate and discuss major current issues in regulatory sciences, and for students to gain insight into best practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.
