REGULATORY AND PRACTICE IN PAEDIATRIC TRIALS AND STUDIES

22 – 23 September, 2015
Children’s Memorial Health Institute– Warsaw (Poland)

The VIII edition of the Foresight Training Course (FTC) was promoted by the Fondazione Gianni Benzi and GRiP (Global Research in Paediatrics) – Work Package 4, led by CVBF-TEDDY.

This edition of the FTC focused on several issues impacting paediatric clinical research, particularly the forthcoming changes in the field, such as the introduction of new rules regulating clinical research in Europe and the ongoing debate on the impact of the Paediatric Regulation after 10 years. The event discussed, within the framework of an international multi-stakeholder debate, both the current state and future prospects of paediatric research. It also covered the efforts made by the scientific community and ongoing projects, such as the proposed Paediatric Research Infrastructures (EPCTRI) and global networks.

The Foresight Training Courses were designed as short courses for experts in the field of Regulatory Sciences, aiming to contribute to high-level training to meet the sector’s needs and requirements.

This annual event provided an opportunity for students, academic institutions, companies, regulatory experts, and investigators to engage in discussions on the main issues of clinical research in paediatrics, share best practices, and stimulate interdisciplinary collaboration.
