The European Commission, through the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), has published an article highlighting projects funded under the EU4Health programme that support the development of orphan medical devices for children living with rare diseases. Among the featured initiatives is OrphaDev4Kids, a European project in which Fondazione Gianni Benzi is a partner.
OrphaDev4Kids aims to foster the development of innovative medical devices for the pediatric rare disease field by supporting researchers and developers in scientific, regulatory, and market access pathways. The project brings together multidisciplinary expertise across Europe to accelerate the availability of therapeutic and technological solutions for pediatric patients with unmet medical needs.
