On May 16th, 2015, the city of Bucharest (Romania) hosted the second edition of the European Projects Forum Nextwork, a 2-day meeting aimed at providing methodology and skills to be successful in the complex world of education and research as well as European project management.
On that occasion, project managers and dissemination leaders from EU Member States and neighbouring countries, were invited to reflect on dissemination strategies in order to share qualitative information about European projects.
The activities carried out by the Gianni Benzi Foundation (FGB) in the field of the internationalisation of higher education, have been presented by Mariangela Lupo (Coordinator of Training and Communication activities for FGB and CVBF) in the Foresight “Education, Research and Innovation” with a lecture entitled “Mediterranean, European policies and the new framework 2020 in the FGBs pathway for the Internationalisation of Higher Education”.
She gave an overview of these activities and described the pathway that, starting from the organisation of the seven edition of the Foresight Training Courses (short international courses for regulatory experts) has lead to the organisation of the International Master of Science in Paediatric Medicines Development and Evaluation (awarded by the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” School of Paediatrics in the context of the EU Project Global Research in Paediatrics (GRiP) to the launch of the first International Master in Regulatory Sciences (IMRS), a one year course aimed to train experts able to act in the whole Mediterranean area and create a common operational background.

In the session Foresight “Health & Biotechnology“, Donato Bonifazi, CEO of CVBF and member of the Steering Committee of the Nextwork Forum, presented the networks and organizations of paediatric research with a lecture entitled “GRiP, EnprEMA and Teddy: the European Networks for Paediatric Research”.
Furthermore, the following three EU-funded projects (DEEP – DEferiprone Evaluation in Paediatrics; GAPP – GAbapentin in Paediatric Pain; CloSed – Clonidine for Sedation of Paediatric Patients in Intensive Care Unit), of which FGB is partner, have been presented in the “Project- Best practice presentations” session.
This initiative was an important occasion for FGB to showcase projects and activities carried out, to compare the experiences at European level and developing international relations with the various protagonists of the EU grant-funded projects (academic and educational Institutions, universities, companies, public authorities, associations and research centres).
