On the occasion of the initiative 'Arte e Scienza .. insieme contro il doping' which will take place on May 27 - 30, 2012 at Sala Murat in Bari, the presentation of the latest book by the journalist Sergio Rizzo ‘Il Doping Tra Diritto E Morale: Le Norme Giuridiche E Le Riflessioni Bioetiche Sul Fenomeno Che Avvelena Lo Sport’, published with the support of the Gianni Benzi Foundation is planned.
The book deals with the problem of doping starting from the events that led to the current anti-doping rules and moving in a context of wide diversity of legislation of the various countries and persistent requirements of harmonization. At the same time the author tries to grasp, under an ethical and social profile, the real reasons why more and more is used to Doping, "invisible" and widespread plague, and, in a wider reading of the phenomenon, highlights the generalized ills of society in which we live and which have led man to radically change his vision of life.
This makes this text a very current mirror of the fragile society in which we live, proposing to our reflection what still needs to be done in the field of sport and what is to be changed in the management of the doping phenomenon in the light of new scientific discoveries and health protection of human dignity.
The presentation, scheduled for May 28th at 3:30 pm, will be introduced by a magisterial report by Dr. Raffaele Guariniello, Deputy Prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor's Office of Turin, protagonist of some of the most important processes for the crime of doping.
