To create a bridge between hospital and territory in order to allow young patients with hematological diseases to receive all the necessary care in their place of residence. This was the objective of the Medical and Scientific Conference that was held on Saturday, May 17th, in the Auditorium of the Hospital “Madonna delle Grazie” (Matera).

The conference was organized and chaired by Professor Paola Giordano, Head of the Unit of Pediatric Hematology Pediatric Clinic “F. Vecchio” (Policlinico di Bari) and Director of the Haemophilia Paediatric Centre and of the Interregional Reference Centre for Childhood Coagulopathies. The event had been organized in collaboration with RIPed, Rete Interaziendale Pediatrica della Regione Basilicata. Dr. Michael Salata, Director of the Paediatric Centre Bambino Gesù Basilicata at the Hospital “San Carlo,” and Dr. Maria Cristina Mencoboni, Director of the Unit of Pediatrics and Neonatology Hospital “Madonna delle Grazie” of Matera, attended the conference.

Professor Adriana Ceci, President of Fondazione Gianni Benzi, participated in the conference, along with other national and international specialists in the field.
