Fondazione Gianni Benzi has always been involved in providing citizens and patients with scientifically proved and updated information in the fields of research and public health. Considering the current spreading of Coronavirus, Fondazione Gianni Benzi promotes the call launch, funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), a European research fund. It is a public-private partnership aiming to speed up development of medicines. The call is aimed to develop diagnostic tests and therapies to treat Coronavirus in the interest of public health.

The call for tender is foreseen on the 3rd march, deadline on the 31st march. The evaluation process will be carried out shortly (within the 15th April). The goal is not only to find a vaccination, but also to find long-term solutions against Coronavirus and other health emergencies related to the infection diseases.

Fondazione Gianni Benzi will follow the discussion on the call for tender, that will be held in Bruxelles on the 4th march, collecting results and sharing every useful information through its social channels.
