The Foundation has recently started a new 4-year project, starting on January 1, 2024, funded under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme, titled ERAMET.
Its kick-off meeting was held in Namur, Belgium, on March 5-6. The project aims to enhance decision-making and regulatory processes in the development of paediatric and orphan drugs, using an integrated model that leverages innovative research methodologies such as modelling & simulation (M&S) along with an Artificial Intelligence-based platform. Coordinated by the University of Namur, the project involves 16 partners across various EU countries, including Italy, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The Foundation's role in this project is to contribute to the development of an integrated model for the application of innovative methodologies in paediatric and orphan drug development, while also evaluating their regulatory acceptability.
