Fondazione Gianni Benzi is happy to announce its involvement in ENERCA, the European Network for Rare and Congenital Aenemias funded by the EU Commission aimed at offering an improved public health service to professional medical practitioners and patients in every aspect of rare anaemias.
The network provides professionals and patients with e-Health tools to ensure the same level of access to rare anaemias services across Europe. Currently, Enerca is developing an e-Registry for epidemiological suerveillance, an e-Learning for distance medical education and telemedicine for bringing services for diagnosis and clinical advice for rare anaemias in distant locations.
Thanks to its high skills and expertise in the field of regulatory science and designing/implementing e-Health tools, Fondazione Gianni Benzi can actively contribute to the activities of the network. In particular, the Foundation, represented by its vice-president Fedele Bonifazi, can count a long experience in projects dealing with paediatric medicines development, observational studies, patients’ registries in the field of beta-thalassaemia major and intermedia (the Foundation coordinates the interregional network for thalassemia HTA-THAL) and medicines databases (EuOrphan).
