The Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS) has officially been designated as a primary registry by the World Health Organization (WHO) within the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP). This recognition confirms that CTIS meets strict international standards for data quality, accessibility, and technical capacity. Moreover, inclusion as a primary registry means that clinical trials published in CTIS are eligible for publication in leading medical journals in line with requirements set by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

Notably, relevant data from trials published on CTIS are now searchable via the ICTRP portal, expanding access to research findings for healthcare professionals, policymakers, and patients worldwide.
