The Annual Scientific Conference on Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia (ASCAT) brought together consultants, specialist psychologists, nurses, scientists, and other experts in haemoglobinopathies in London from 21–23 October 2019.

This must-attend event offered a chance to explore the latest advances in diagnosis, treatment, and emerging fields in haemoglobinopathies. Participants engaged with updates on clinical care, transition services, and new therapies, including curative treatment options.
